John Perkins, Co-Innkeeper/Chef
John has recently retired from a major international bank, and has traveled the world for his job, and spent the past 20 years overseas.
In each country he has lived in, he has studied local cooking techniques, and loves to try out new recipes on his favorite guinea pig: Jay. One look at Jay's chubby cheeks will show you how good his food can be.
Jay Kerch, Co-Innkeeper/Interior Decorator
And Lead Food Taster. Jay has spent over 25 years in retail sales, management, and interior design. As an avid antique collector since childhood, Jay spends many hours looking for just the right things to furnish the inn with. He is the driving force behind the dog theme in our inn, and has over 4000 figures scattered throughout the rooms and shop. If you don't see your favorite breed, just ask, and you can be sure that he will be able to find it hidden somewhere about. Each recipe prepared by John has been well tested by Jay in advance, so you can be sure you will not leave hungry.
Emmy, Housekeeper
Emmy has worked at The Phineas Swann Bed and Breakfast on and off for several years helping her sister in housekeeping. After her sister left, we hired Emmy on full time, and she is quite a help. You can see her here painting one of the most recent acquisitions for our antiques shop and gallery. She is a great mother of an adorable girl, who is new to school on top of her duties here at the inn. You can see that she keeps VERY busy.
Bo Bo, Director of Hospitality
Bo Bo is the newest member of The Phineas Swann family. He is very fond of barking and nipping at your heels, and is proud of his bird-hunting skills. As the director of hospitality, you can count on him for giving you hours of pleasure watching him run around in circles chasing his tail. He loves to cuddle with you by the fire in the evenings, and is great at keeping everyone happy and occupied. If you need to know where the closest squirrel nest is, Bo Bo is your man.
Emmie, Welcoming Committee Director
Emmie is the senior dog in our family, and is very proud of her position as the “greeter” at the Phineas Swann. We have no need of a door bell in our inn, for Emmie will certainly let us know when you arrive at our doorstep. Her ferocious barks belie her very sweet nature, as she will cover you with wet kisses if you let her. She will be happy to help you with your luggage, especially if it includes a teddy bear, her favorite type of chew toy.
